What is REALNation?

We use the same set of tools to achieve our goals: a video workout library (think a "fitness Netflix"), nutritional resources that avoid extremes, personal coaching, and an ongoing group accountability. You can read more about how I got started in coaching and the evolution of REALNation here.

Workouts + Nutrition + Accountability

WORKOUTS

The toolkits the women I coach receive includes a year membership to a virtual fitness video library called Beachbody on Demand (BOD). This library contains 60+ fitness programs (over 1,500 workouts) designed by over 30 personal trainers. These "super trainers" bring a wide range of experiences to the BOD platform and feature a personal trainer for NBA athletes, a professional ballerina, a national track champion, and competitive weight lifters.

 

BOD caters to all fitness levels (beginner to advanced) and nearly fitness genre imaginable (HIIT, pre/postnatal exercises, barre, weight training, yoga, pilates, running, boxing, country line dancing, etc.). The average workout is 30-35 minutes, but some are as short as 10 minutes and others as long as an hour.

The workouts stream to any device and can even be downloaded and viewed without internet access. Watch the video below to learn a bit more about BOD!

NUTRITION

Nutrition is a crucial component to wholistic health and many of us have received so many mixed message about what is "healthy" when it comes to fueling our bodies. The toolkit REALNation women receive includes access to two nutrition programs that are ways of eating, not a short-term "diet."

 

The first program, Ultimate Portion Fix, is more structured and ideal for those who want to be told what and how much to eat. It re-trains your eyes, brain, and body to know what a balances day feels and looks like nutritionally. The second program, 2B Mindset, is based on a more intuitive and flexible eating style. It's optimal for people who prefer less structure and is ideal for those struggling with "stress/emotional eating," as the creator (a certified nutritionist) struggled with this herself for years before losing 100 lbs.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The women I coach receive three levels of accountability & support:

1:1 Coaching

I work one-on-one with each woman to find the best starting fitness program, create a game plan to overcome challenges or changing life circumstances (pregnancy, travel, injury, etc.), and support them throughout their fitness journey. 
 

REALNation BOD Group 

The women I coach log their workouts daily inside of a private app where I also post a check-in post each morning. This post includes content that is educational, inspirational, or challenging. This community works as a cross between a "virtual locker room" and a "fitness diary." Women log their own fitness journey (workouts, progress photos, nutritional info, struggles, celebrations, questions, etc.) and cheer one another on when they are struggling.

REALNation Cohorts (Optional)

Those seeking even deeper relational connection and support may request to join a REALNation Cohort of 5-7 other women. I do my best to match women based on geography, season of life, and occupation. Each cohort decides the frequency and format for connecting. Some do a text thread, others do a Zoom call, Marco Polo, or Facebook group.
